Spring Training Stadium

Hey MVP modders, good to see everyone is doing well! I download the MVP06 mod and it is simply... AMAZING. I couldn't beleive how good everything was; the rosters, the stadiums, cyberfaces, it was all great.

The one thing I wish this game had was ONE good Spring training stadium. One stadium seems like the field of dreams the way it is out in the middle of NOWHERE. Another stadium has so much brush and jungle funk out in the middle of the outfield it looks like Kudzu field instead of Florida. The only spring training stadium I use is #3 because it legitimatly looks like a spring training stadium- palm trees, bright sun, etc.

Here are some suggestions for what would make a good Spring Training stadium! If you need pictures of anything, I would be glad to find them.

- 2 different stadiums: an Arizona stadium and a Florida stadium. Each stadium has unique qualites like palm trees or cacti, dessert or green grass/water you know.

- These stadium should be generic so that any team can play there. There are plenty of MLB logos and Spring Training logos out there so it can make for a true spring training feel. Ads like Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Mastercard etc. are all sponsors found at any ballpark so that shouldn't be a big deal.

- Each stadium should have LAWN SEATING! Each stadium I have gone to this spring in Florida has lawn seating. If we could have basically a scoreboard in the middle and simple lawn seating for the rest of the outfield (people on it or not) it would save modders a lot of time. For a back ground put palm trees or cacti or water, whatever works.

- Make sure the sun is shining! I don't know why Stadiums #1 and #2 llike to have an overcast, but that isn't spring ball. We love the sun shining!

If your looking for a generic stadium, my suggestion is the Disney Wide World of Sports stadium. It is used for the Atlanta Braves as well as the WBC so it stands as a good basis for anyone.

If you need pictures, suggestions, feedback I'm your guy! I am sure everyone would love a legit spring trainig stadium to play while it's going on!

Cracker Jack Stadium, I'll be in Disney World on spring break so maybe I can get pics.

  • 3 weeks later...

I have all sorts of hi-rez digital pictures from Peoria Stadium (Mariners and Padres) and Surprise Stadium (Rangers and Royals), as those two stadiums are my spring break destination every year.

In fact I just got back from Arizona the other day, and boy were the Royals on fire ...
