26.3 seconds between pitches

This can be adjusted in the datafile. Line "0xae9307b4 54<pitcher>" has some items which can be adjusted to do so. I have yet to venture down this path in modding the datafile but I believe Rodkey did in his latest datafile mod for 2005. Perhaps check there.

GO CANADA!!!

WBC WHAT A GREAT GAME!

Hopefully the WBC won't be a repeat of the Olympics for the USA. They should be able to handle South Africa on Friday. Anyways, I'd love to make time between the pitches longer. If you figure it out, let us know! :D

I don't have it exact yet, but I have narrowed down the values in the datafile that will speed up/slow down the time in between pitches. Using MaddiesDaddy's datafile spreadsheet as a reference (an excellent tool by the way), the following values relate to the amount of time in between pitches. The description of the value is given, followed by the number in the datafile line, and then the default value for that number.

Datafile line: 0xae9307b4 54

CCSameBatter_NoRunners; 4 1.00;

CCSameBatter_WithRunners; 5 2.00;

CCNewBatter_NoRunners; 6 1.25;

CCNewBatter_WithRunners; 7 2.00;

CCRunnerIncreasesLead; 8 2.00;

CUSameBatter_NoRunners; 10 1.25;

CUSameBatter_WithRunners; 11 2.25;

CUNewBatter_NoRunners; 12 1.50;

CUNewBatter_WithRunners; 13 2.50;

CURunnerIncreasesLead; 14 3.00;

UCSameBatter_NoRunners; 16 1.50;

UCSameBatter_WithRunners; 17 2.00;

UCNewBatter_NoRunners; 18 1.50;

UCNewBatter_WithRunners; 19 2.50;

UCRunnerIncreasesLead; 20 2.50;

UUSameBatter_NoRunners; 22 1.50;

UUSameBatter_WithRunners; 23 1.75;

UUNewBatter_NoRunners; 24 2.00;

UUNewBatter_WithRunners; 25 2.50;

UURunnerIncreasesLead; 26 2.50;

SameBatter_NoRunners; 30 1.25;

SameBatter_WithRunners; 31 2.50;

NewBatter_NoRunners; 32 2.00;

NewBatter_WithRunners; 33 2.50;

RunnerIncreasesLead; 34 2.50;

NoRunnersBetween; 43 1.00;

WithRunnersBetween; 44 1.50;

NewBatterNoRunners; 45 1.50;

NewBatterWithRunners; 46 2.00;

C=Computer

U=User

So for example, to change the first value "CCSameBatter_NoRunners" (the CPU is playing itself, no men on base), change the default value of 1.00 after the 4 to a higher number to allow for more time, or a lower number for less time.

The datafile line 0x8865f9c0 also contains a value called "EndOfPlayTime" - I think adjusting that value will also speed up/slow down games accordingly.

I like to play my games quickly, so I went through the above values and and cut each one of them in half. I have been averaging 10-15 minutes less in the games that I have played so far.

Play around with it and get a value that you are comfortable with.
