Chicago11
I have stopzilla as a popup ad stopper....however, microsoft ads can not be stopped.....at times the ads freeze MVP2004 play. Any suggestions.....Thanks
The Big Unit
Yeah get rid of that garbage program and use PanicWare's Pop Up Stopper (free). The best there is bar none. And clear out your temp files and delete your cookies first before you run it. You'll never see another pop-up again. **Update** And what he said down there after me. NickD
Go into Start > Control Panel then Adminastrative Panel > Services then find "Messenger" and disable it. Problem solved. Edit - oh and for popups that are not associated with Messenger (thats what you're talking about) there are spyware busters that are needed for spyware. Go to google.com and find adaware 6, spybot and spyweeper. You're probably very infested if you get popups randomly. You'll probably find 500 spyware items between the progs I mentioned. Your computer will be noticibly faster same with your internet browser. Happy hunting ;)
IronForge
Yeah, it's Messenger that is causing your problems. Just turn it off. I don't even use it, more trouble than it's worth.
