J1192
I have a Logitech Dual Action controller. When I try to pitch using the Dpad all I can do is pitch way outside the strike zone. What setting do I need to adjust do I can pitch using the Dpad. I remember having the same problem initially with MVP 2003....but I can't remember what I did to make it work properly. eber
you dont pitch w/ the dpad. u use the left analog stickWhat he said. But it sounds like you might have calibration issues.
devils6889
Make sure you don't have the option swap dpad and analog stick enabled in the settings for the controller in control panel.
drovebykeptgoing1
Always calibrate ur controller before u start any game, Bill G. makes it a must and Logitech makes it a real must huh go figure.
J1192
I realize the default is to pitch with the analog stick but I would rather pitch with the d pad as I could in MVP 2003. I have calibrated the controller and it is working fine with the analog stick. Is there no way to pitch properly with the D pad in MVP 2005? devils6889
there is a way to do this, but its a lot of trouble. I did it when my logitech dual action broke a while ago and i was waiting to buy a ps2 controller and adapter. You'll need a program called joytokey, it basically emulates the keyboard by using your controller. Basically, set it so that the controller corresponds to buttons on the keyboard. This way, you can set the dpad to whatever it is to pitch on the keyboard and all the other buttons for everything else. Then, when pitching, change the controller to keyboard 1, and when batting you have to change back to gamepad.
mrmariner
I have the Logitech Rumble pad 2, using the left stick is the way to go because you have much more fine movement and control. Using the dpad is much harder because it's almost like full left, right,up and down, there is like no middle movement. Just my opinion. I used to play 2003 with a Gravis Destroyer but the dpad was real sloppy soft so it made pitching control easy. My Logitech dpad is more on the stiff side.
