TobiasLS
I recently treated myself to a new computer and now the game is acting weird. At the start of the game, it runs great...but as the game goes on, things start to speed up until the last inning when it is darn near impossible to play the game at all. I know there have been lots of messages to due with the speed issue at the start of the game but my search could not find any that had to do with this. This has happened with both the 06 modded game and the Classics...(2 seperate games on the HD). After I reboot the machine and re-load the game, everything is fine again... Roscosuper
You might try turning "vsync" on.....this is in the options menu under video or display.........if that does not work (or if vsync is already on) make sure your video card is set-up to allow progams to decide wether vsync is on or off....try that.... TobiasLS
Well it looks like I am back asking for help. After exhausting all the available options that I have, I called EA support. They said I was pooched as I have a dual core processor and the game will not run properly with this processor. He also did say that there is a non EA fix out there for this prob. Does anyone know of this? I would REALLY hate to shelve the game because my machine is too fast!
klon122
This solution may be to use Task Manager to set your CPU's affinity to 1 when you're running MVP. Unfortunately, I haven't tried this myself, but your problem seems to be common for dual-core CPUs. Between my suggestion and a Google search I cooked up, I don't have much help for you.
