brtalley Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 hey guys...i heard about a thing called gamexp optimizer. i was having trouble with the game...and someone said i should use the TCP Optimizer first, then run this...i did and things went a little weird. my dvd rom drive wouldnt read among a few other slightly serious issues. i had to reinstall windows (which oddly enough made mvp work great) and reinstall things...which wasnt bad because i had way more than i needed on here. mvp is still running better than ever, but still with a slight hiccup. i was wondering if anyone knows aboug GAME xp or if they have experience with it or not. heres the address http://www.theorica.net/gamexp.htm it sounds great, and i might use it again...but i'm just afraid it was game xp's fault that made my dvd rom go away and other things to screw up. Based on that name, it might seem handy for online playing only. When I have problems with my computer I use a search engine to enter keywords relating to my problem and lurk in various forums to see if someone else has a solution. I don't use an all-in-one solution like Game XP. The advantage to this method is that I can look up specific problem for my system. Also, I use the resources provided at Tweak Guides for referring to some technical issues. All in all, I just look for others with similar problems and I discern whether I should follow their solutions.
