imstructure
My game was doing really well for a long time, not having any problems for at least 7-8 months, during which I played a full season and made through 2 months of playing in Owner Mode. But it started stuttering. During the game, it freezes for 15-20 seconds then continues. At frist, it happened maybe 2-3 times in a whole game. Now, it seems like it's happening at least once or twice an inning. It's really frustrating, and I tried re-installing, increasing to 1G RAM, running spyware software, scanning for virus, getting the driver upgrades and turning all the other applications off while running the game. I've searched the forum and found others who seem to experience the same problems, but I can't seem to find any solutions to stop. Can anyone help? I'm pretty sure the specs of my computer should be more than enough to run this game. I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!

spitoon
This is a longshot but I had a similar experience and it turned out to be the gamepad software...uninstalled it and reinstalled it and everything was fine.

baseballfans
Pentium 4, 2.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 80GB nVidia GeForce FX 5200 128MB memory Thanks in advance! THe PC is good enough to run the game. The weakness is probably your video card. Nvidia release the 5200 in 2 version. One that run in 128 bit and the another one in 64 bit. Since most with 128MB memory run in 64 bit the game tend to be slower than the one that had 128 bit. You mention recently U have this problem & U tried different removal spyware etc.. program to improve it. So last shot is to reinstall XP fresh. That way U 100% sure no other stupid program running. Than install MVP again apply patch 3 and the game should run back at the speed u use to have.

E.J.Smith
Here's a couple of additional things you can try. I encountered a similar problem and these worked for me. They didn't completely eliminate the problem but reduced the stuttering significantly. Depending on what type of card you have (AGP versus PCI-e), try turning off your AGP fastwrites. Another thing you can do is to download the PCI Latency tweaking program (http://www.guru3d.com) and set your PCI latency to 64.
