Im pretty knowlegeable abotu computers but when it comes to downloading these kind of things I struggle.

I also have noticed that on this site if you don''t understand sometyhing the first time you are talked down-to and whatnot...

However that doesn't give you the right to be a [naughty word].

You're COMPLETELY wrong. If you don't understand something you are not talked down to, unless it's obvious that you haven't taken a little time to search for your answer or you come in with the attitude that members who have been here longer are here to serve you.

When you see the same question (e.g. "How do I download rosters to my Xbox?") multiple times, you can understand why people don't want to answer the question over and over. Search before you ask. It's not hard!

If you ask clear questions (i.e. it doesn't take 3 pages to find out exactly what you want) and don't come in with an attitude, people are more than willing to help. We were all newbies at one time too...

If you don't believe me, search the threads for my name and see how many times I've answered questions for new members and have tried to help people. There are plenty of people willing to help.

Ok last time I took someone step by step I got accused of being a jerk because I was literally taking him step by step by step like a baby. If you don't know crap about PCs that is fine. What I do, download everything to my desktop in a folder called "saved" and then after I try the mod, then I move it to some other folder in that SAVED folder called MVP BASEBALL MODS.

You should download your stuff to anywhere you want. Since the recyle bin is right there on the desktop, why not download everything to your desktop and if you try the mod and hate it, drag the file you downloaded to your recycle bin.

I think we may have to raise the age limit and give a computer knowledge test before some of these people are let in, either that or make it where they have to read the rules and make them use the search button like 20 times so they get used to it. Like me for example, reason why I only have 100 something posts is because I find alot of answers using the search button so I don't need to ask anything unlike 12 year olds who have 200 posts in a little over a month. Probably all about the same thing. Have a nice day.

And DOM, can you tell me what drugs you are on? I mean, seriously, if you think CPU's in the States are more in depth and demand you know more stuff than CPU's in Scotland, I really want whatever it is.

u did it with out any help???? 4 pages later --

1. u found out on page 3 u were downloading 2004 gloves for 2005 game.

2. was told by someone that the 2004 gloves do in fact work for 2005

3. Klon122, a guy with 30 posts and common sense gave u the best advice on page 1

4. Mo gave u great STEP BY STEP advice on the bottom of page 1

5. you asked on page 2 what is a .big and people told u and this is after u said ILL FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF and u still asked more questions.

so basically this is why PEOPLE are reluctant to help new members SOMETIMES, NOT ALL THE TIME. obviously klon122 and the harley fellow have a good head on their shoulders.

Go to the website, click on the link and then download the thing. Extract the files into the folder using the utility and then install it by running the batch file. If you have any problems, e-mail the guy. :wink:

Yeh, dream on. I live in the U.S.. U probobly have Computers that are less complacited than the US computers. I know more about compuers than you'll ever know (:. I just asked for help for only 1 thing and u can't help me find some nice gloves that i can use on my MVP05 game. I'll figure it out myself, like i always do.

The fact is, it took 3 pages of your posts before anyone even deciphered what it was you wanted, not helped by your sub-par spelling and grammar. Since you apparantly haven't learned anything after five pages other than to keep repeating "i'll do it myself" when the heat is on, I have a hard time believing that you could learn much about computers - the fact that you don't even know how to use a .RAR or .ZIP file also sways my opinion, as the .ZIP format has been pretty much industry standard for years now, way before Windows XP was released in 2001 with the built-in compressed folders function.

I'm not the smartest man in the world by a long shot. I don't consider myself to be a computer genius. There are a lot of things I don't know and even though I'm willing to learn as much as possible, there are certain limits to what one can do. But given your postings on this site, I can say with complete confidence right now that I know more about computers than you. Take that as bragging if you want - I'm taking it as fact until you prove me wrong.

(Oh, and also FYI, it doesn't take a genius to download and install MVP '06. It doesn't even take too much computer literacy, as there are instructions packaged with the files. To copy a phrase from Maddox, "Congratulations! You're mediocre.")
