herodotus7
I'm starting to play MVP 2005 again. Last year I didn't full with mods because I didn't have time to learn how to use MVP edit. I did a lot of classic baseball stadium and uni modding for the last High Heat game, but don't have much time to do anything with MVP. However, I would like to use some of the great mods created for MVP. My main question is this? If you edit with MVP, will the game crash if you then re-edit stuff the in game editing, like changing a players socks or something? Second, by adding photos in MVPedit, if you re-edit in game (like trade a player to another team) will it cause the game to crash? Lastly, how do you export/import game files into MVPedit? Basic, I know, but would love some help. I was the creator of stadiums like Huntington Park Grounds for High Heat, if some of you remember. Thanks for the great site and love of the game fellows. SwinginSoriano
First, download MVP 06! Second, you can export files into your database folder (MVP 2005 > data), and you import files from the same database folder. There are many rosters, two frequently updated that you can use here. Just use the .mbe or turn import a new file from the database folder!

I'm just trying to avoid crashes. From past experience, after using modded rosters (which are great) sometimes the game crashes if I edit it 'in-gam', i.e., not using mvp edit. This is what I want out of the great game (a better game thanks to mvpmods). I want to play a dynasty. I want to add player portraits to classic players I'm making (in-game). And I may want to add/change unis. And I don't want the game to crash and have to re-install, etc...
SwinginSoriano
MVP 06 is available in the 2005 downloads, in makes MVP 2005 a whole new game. You can upload any roster to it but if youy are basing your roster on just the old cyberfaces, just use MVPedit on your current MVP 2005 as is. herodotus7
swingin, if i download mvp 06, will the game crash if I move players around 'in-game' and then play a dynasty? will it do the same if i add some of my own created players? i guess my problem with 06, is that i don't like all of the mods. some i like, some i don't. and the changes i want, like portraits is kind of a minimalist mod of sorts. thanks again.
