PolishJoe
I know this is a dumb question, but what were the main differences between MVP Baseball 2005 and its 2004 counterpart? That is, aside from uniforms, stadiums, and rosters. I was curious and so I went to go to the games' websites. Unfortunately, MVP Baseball 2005 no longer has a website. :? But, 2004 does. When i was reading over the changes from MVP 2003 to MVP 2004, I noticed it may have read identical to MVP 2003 - MVP 2005. Am I imagining this? Dom2662
MVP05: It has the new Mini games, and Owner Mode. MVP04: I didn't play that one i played 03 though.
spitoon
If I recall correctly they were similar, other than the changes that Dom mentioned. I just found '05 to be slightly more polished (not polish ). Plus MVP 2004 had the "Lefty Homer Bug"...

You're right - if it were Polish, hitters would hold their bats upside down and use it like a pool-cue! Now that you all mention it, in terms of features, I do remember that Owner Mode was exclusive to 2005. I don't really recall the minigame in 2004 either but I never really got into that anyway so I just chalked it up to fuzzy memory. - Thanks! NYYKing
2005 had the hitters eye, and a more refined pitching meter. It was way too easy to hit perfect for the pitching meter in 2004. Also, fielding is improved in 2005. In 2004, I had trouble at times getting men out at 1st, and that was fixed in 2005.

Your right, in 2004 you couldn't lead a fielder to the bag with the ball...for example, on a ground ball to the first baseman, he would have to wait until the pitcher got to the bag before he could throw the ball, in 2005 you can throw to the pitcher while he is running over there. SwinginSoriano
2005 and 2004 are nearly the same thing, but 2005 is a little bit better because of the extra sliders and refined hitting/pitching. 2005 though in the end blows 2004 away because of the mods. Pirate
In 2003 you could not control the infielders... they dove when they wanted, not when you said too. The hitting and pitching is improved. The mods are more advanced for 2005.
