I can't get a cyberface mod to work right.

I am trying to use the Adam LaRoche cyberface mod but it isn't working. I follow the readme to the letter, but when I start the game, Adam still has the default face.

So I opened the models.big file in EAGE to see what the face looks like after I imported and compressed it with bigGUI to see if it actually got put in there, and this was the image EAGE had for LaRoche's face (see attachment). Is that what they are suppose to look like, a half a face?

set LaRoche to an '04 face in MVPEdit and assign him the face # - then export your files. The face does work (unlike his brother Andy, who's face does not work)
Sorry, for not knowing, but I'm not exactly sure how to do what you are saying. I've never messed with MVPedit to do this before. I know how to load the mbe file that came with the UR 5.2 mod, and I went to LaRoche and changed his face to 901 to 106. The half face automatically showed up, which I guess means it was already in the UR 5.2 mod? I don't know what to do next. Do I export just LaRoche as a mep file, if so, what do I do with that? Thanks.

Ok... let me explain in detail for you. First of all, the 5.2 mod does not have added cyberfaces. It is a download of the roster alone. I am guessing that you downloaded the previous version which was the "plus" version. Hence you installed my models.big too. With my models.big there is the LaRoche face. It is an 04 face. What this means is that in MVP 04 the faces EA made were actually only half a face & then when EA made it to view in the game, both sides of the faces were an exact duplicate. Hence you see a whole face inside the game.

In MVP 05, EA changed their method of making cyberfaces by actually making the entire face from the very onset.

In MVP Edit there is an option next to the place where you can change the cyberface numbers called "04 face" If you see that "half face" in your graphic, change the "no" that is underneath the 04 face option to "yes". If you see a full face in your graphic by that player, make sure the option is set to "no" by the 04 face.

Ok... now on to the instruction of how to get your changes within MVP Edit to show within the game. You have to export the entire .mbe file to your database folder. The way to do this is, when you have the mbe file loaded in mvp edit you click on the icon called "Export". This will open a new window. In this window make sure to DOUBLE click the folder called "database". If you did this procedure correctly the graphic of the database folder will look as if it is open. Then click "ok". That's it. Just let the program do it's work till it's finished. Then close the program. You're done. Go ingame & you will see the face there.
