I just would like to know which I should get. I want to get one that will give me the best graphics this game can offer for the cheapest price. And, of course, I want it to be compatible with my computer. Can anyone help me? I have a Dell (3 years old). I'm not sure what the model is because I don't know where to look for that...if that something you'd need to know to help me out just pooint me in the right direction. Here's some info about the computer: Windows XP home Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.66GHz Memory: 510 MB RAM DirectX version 9.0c Display Device: Intel 82865G graphics controller 96.0 MB memory Any other info that I/you need to figure this out, just let me know and I'll give it to you (assuming I can find it...) Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton all.

Jim825
Brew - If you have a Dell, it should be listed on the front of the case. I have a Dimension 4600 and the label surrounds the power button in the front. As far as a video card, you need to provide some details: 1. What type of card slots does your PC have? AGP? PCI? It should be listed in your user's manual, but since your PC is only 3 years old I would guess that you have at least one AGP slot. 2. How much money do you want to spend? You can get a state-of-the-art, top line card for big bucks, or you can get a card that is a year old (or a little older) and still get great performance for not a lot of money. I have an older card (128 Mb Radeon 9600 Pro) that I bought about a year ago for $110 at www.newegg.com. This card is old by today's standards, but it plays the game great for me and I am happy with the performance and quality of the graphics. 3. Have you considered upgrading the amount of memory in your PC? 512 Mb is good, but 1Gb is better. You'd have to check your user's manual to see how much memory your motherboard will hold. For about $90, I upgraded bought an additional 512 Mb of memory for my Dell from www.crucial.com

I'm using the Radeon 4.12 drivers (they came out in Dec. 2004) that I got at the ATI website shortly after I got my card. Right now, ATI is up to the 6.3 drivers (6 =2006, 3 = March), but since I've had no problems with the 4.12 driver, I've never bothered to upgrade. JP_Frost
I almost have the same computer Brewcrew, just a slightly newer version. I bought a new videocard a year or so ago, which was the ATI Radeon 9600xt 256mb. Pretty solid card and it should give you the chance to play mvp on max settings. The only problem is, and I'm not sure if you play alot of games, that the card will not hold up much longer. However, if you decide to upgrade to something better than the card I just mentioned, your entire system will need a complete overhaul. In other words you'll need a new computer. If you don't play many games and just mvp, then I suggest looking into that card. It shouldn't be too expensive.

I recently upgraded from a Radeon 9600xt to a GeForce 6800GT with no additional work to my computer beyond finding a spare molex connector and replacing drivers. No problems for me. The only reason someone would "overhaul" their computer for such an upgrade is if they had poor specs. Especially if they have a crappy power supply.
