abraves
I was having problems with MVP05 crashing for a while. I ended up reformatting my hard drive and just have all the original files installed and still get crashes about the second inning of every game. I have tried with the patches and without. The error says mvp exe encountered a problem. the game ran fine when I first got it. I have windows XP (home), athlon 2600, geforce 5700 ultra. 1gig of ram. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

baseballfans
abraves u joined in mar of o5 and this is only your 3 post? WHere have u been? Now to answer your question if u having fresh install from EA and still crash. Than is probably your cd2 is not in the drive or you have another EA related game on other drive that cause conflict. Remember EA check your drive to insure your cd is real. If U have another game on another drive it will check that drive. If it doesn't match the copy protection that MVP have, than it will close your game out.
abraves
Are you saying the pc is having a hard time reading my cd? I thought after the game started that the pc did not access the disc anymore. What you are saying leads me to believe I may have a bad disk because my drives sometimes have a hard time reading the disc when I install the game. I did make it around 5 innings yesterday before it crashed. I may be on pace to break my whopping 2 posts last year! Thanks for your help so far!!!! medric822
go into the program files for MVP 2K5 go to the data folder, and move the stadiums folder, the models big, and the profile big to a safe place, preferabily the desktop. Then delete the entire MVP folder from the hard drive, including the recycle bin. Then re-download the game. place these saved files back into the game files, and your set to go!
