goldendomer
I just wanted to thank everybody who has created this site. i am going to contribute and in a way i already have. My wife was bitching at me about all the money i spent on the 360 and the ps2 and now the ps3. So now i tell her i am going to upgrade my gfx card and memeory and buy this game...lol...and she about went nuts...another 250 dollars for video gaming...so i went and sold my 360 to pay for this stuff and be able to participate in the greatest mod ever...no regrets at all.....this game with is a brand new game and it will hold my interest for many years to come......so just wanted to say thanks to all who has helped and contributed

SwinginSoriano
Damn, I feel dirty for spending 100 bucks on MVP Baseball. (MVP 2004, MVP 2005, that crappy Logitech control pad that's busted from overstock.com, my working saitek 2500 ) I usually don't spend much for gaming. In fact, I haven't spent that much since my brother and I got an used Sega Genesis back in 2001. Hell, I got four game pads and tons of games, with MVP I only got one... I'll just remind myself to enjoy this MVP 2005 for the next three plus years. Luckily MVP was the only new game I wanted this decade, and from the looks of it there really won't be another one. Seriously, don't blow your money.
goldendomer
Yeah soriano, i was blowing a load of money on all these new systems and games when all i had to was upgrade my system and i had everything i wanted right here........i love modding the game almost as much as i love playing it............good stuff people

Dagger147
I went to South Bend once. That was when Joe Theisman was up for the Heisman. Guess that shows my age, huh? Welcome to a fellow Fightin' Irish fan!
goldendomer
dont worry dag, i remember that time frame i was only 5 when he left, so i remember going to joe montana a little more....greatest game ever went to was miami vs nd i was in row 1 seats 1 and 2 right at the tunnel where nd comes out...ndwon that game and i got to shake jimmy johnsons hands as he walked off the field...wow, its like it happened yesterday
Dagger147
I was never able to get to a game there. My Dad was a huge ND fan. He went to the games while my Mom tried to deal with a few irate kids at home.
maddux31
Welcome GoldenDomer!! I seriously sympathize with you, though I didn't buy a 360 or a PS2 I have not bought a game console since the Sega DreamCast went belly up! I'm a huge baseball fan when most my friends are not, they all play console games, and none of them have really done anything close to what these brilliant and gifted people have and will do! From HH04.net to MVPMODS.com. This is all I need or will ever need. I have a real strong CPU, but the SONY VAIO I have came with the usual generic video card, so my console purchase ended up being a GEFORCE 7800 GSOC card that I bought for the upcoming MVP06!! Though my friends said why spend $350.00 on a top of the line video card for a baseball game? I SAID, BECAUSE IT'S A TOP OF THE LINE GAME, THAT THESE GUYS KEEP MAKING BETTER!! LONG LIVE MVP!! Gordo
Good move on the 360..... I think people get all worked up about the hype. I guess if you don't have a DVD player or game system at all and you have the extra bucks...fine. But, most gamers have had all or most of the previous systems and HAVE TO HAVE the latest and greatest. Honestly, I haven't really heard or read anything that really makes this system all that worth it, even in the sports gaming venue. I heard Madden is boring after the first hour, the NHL game has a goal scoring glitch and the NBA 2k6 game is about the only thing that is visually stunning while capturing the same gameplay excellence from the reg. version. I ain't missin' a thing....esp. with the quality you do get from the guys right here! (ok, I have quite kissed *** like that in a long time!) BudHawk
I had two consoles back in the day. The Intellivison and the Coleco. I have been PC, starting with the C64 and Atari 800xl.
goldendomer
Ive played madden good, nothing great. played live, 2k6( hockey and basketball ) college hoops one the only one that grabbed my love, but not like mvp.....the game runs really well and is so much fun...even though im playing it on a compaq presario with ati radeon 9250 and 512 memory......just a minor stutter every now and then. The datafile im using has this swooping camera that pans around the batter walkup and the fielding views are awesome.
Pirate
Not to continue to stray off topic, but South Bend is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The campus at least. My first time there I cried. I ate breakfast with the players and watched ND stomp Purdue in Willingham's first home game. I sat next to my father-in-law and his dad who played at ND in the 50's and blocked for Johnny Lattner. I love the history. I don't know what to tell you about the 360, I just obey my wife and do what she asks and it has worked so far.
mrmariner
I love pc gaming, i have 2 computers. The one in the basement is my real game machine it has very good conponents but I was spending way to much time down in the cave playing games and igorning the wife so I installed some games upstairs and things have worked out fine. I learned that the wife comes first always and anything else is second. Now lets play ball.
goldendomer
mariner......i couldnt agree more......i usually end playing early saturday morning and sunday morning, that way me and my wife have "quality time".lol.....but he is worth it and she supports my habit, even though she doesnt understand it....she just hates that i spend so much money on it, and then trade stuff in and spend more money......but i digress and we all have our own vices....wait until i tell her that im buying a new gaming computer...lol
danf
Wow.... someone that remembers Joe Thiesman at Notre Dame? Maybe i'm not the only oldie in here. lol. I too just spent about 400 dollars to upgrade my computer... put in a 3400 processor and motherboard and nvidia 6600gt. Got the same reaction from the wife , but dang was it worth it.
