To allow two teams to play basically a 7 game series (season) as an option from the select screen menu. I myself have never played a season of MVP baseball, only exhibition games, so I don't know what the setup is when you get to the end of the season. The reason I ask is that I play Total Classics a ton and since a season is risky business with the jumbled teams, I would enjoy being able to play any type of tournament that will carry over fatigue, unavailible pitchers and the like.
