m4g1c
Yeah I noticed the outfielders play pretty far back and I don't think that made it any more realistic. I hit sure gappers for doubles and they get to them and hold me to a single if it's not someone like Carl Crawford running the bases. And a lot of bloop hits I have now fall in for doubles when they should be singles or possibly even outs. So I would like to know, what are the default outfielder depths in the datafile.txt? Here is a quote from another thread: If you are adept at editing the datafile, the outfielder depth is pretty easy to fix. Here's the section in question: 0xeab27fc1 9 12;2 LeftAngleDeg;1 LeftDepth%;6 RightField;7 RightDepth%;0 LeftField;3 CenterField;8 RightAngleDeg;4 CenterDepth%;5 CenterAngleDeg; 0x88da6eac 9<of_outfieldin>;0;1 28.1;2 11.6;3;4 36.8;5 46.8;6;7 33.9;8 76.3; 0x8a2ab989 9<of_sacbunt>;0;1 57.7;2 14.9;3;4 55.5;5 45.0;6;7 62.5;8 73.6; 0xe02ad8cc 9<of_slaphitter_lh>;0;1 55.0;2 10.0;3;4 58.2;5 39.0;6;7 65.2;8 68.2; 0xe02ad992 9<of_slaphitter_rh>;0;1 65.2;2 21.8;3;4 58.2;5 51.0;6;7 55.0;8 80.0; 0xe897625d 9<of_standard_lh>;0;1 75.0;2 19.0;3;4 75.0;5 49.0;6;7 78.5;8 78.0; 0xe8976323 9<of_standard_rh>;0;1 78.5;2 13.0;3;4 75.0;5 41.0;6;7 75;8 71.0; 0x484e4e24 9<of_extremeshift_lh>;0;1 75.0;2 22;3;4 75.0;5 57.5;6;7 78.5;8 83.5; 0x484e4eea 9<of_extremeshift_rh>;0;1 78.5;2 6.6;3;4 75.0;5 32.5;6;7 75.0;8 68.0; 0x556d89f9 9<of_pullhitter_lh>;0;1 75.0;2 19.0;3;4 75.0;5 53.0;6;7 78.5;8 81.0; 0x556d8abf 9<of_pullhitter_rh>;0;1 78.5;2 9.0;3;4 75.0;5 37.0;6;7 75.0;8 71.0; 0x7518b3fb 9<of_spray_lh>;0;1 75.0;2 16;3;4 75.0;5 46;6;7 78.5;8 75; 0x7518b4c1 9<of_spray_rh>;0;1 78.5;2 15;3;4 65.0;5 44;6;7 75;8 75; You want to be changing the values at 1 (LF), 7(RF), and 4(CF), they are percentages of the total distance to the wall which allows for variances in park dimensions. So, as you can see, in a standard set up for a LH batter the LF is at 75%, the RF is at 75% and the CF is at 78%. I'm pretty sure these numbers are from one of my mods where I had moved them all back 5%...adjust as you see fit. So, would I be changing these values: (1 LeftDepth%, 7 RightDepth%, 4 CenterDepth%)? And if so, what numbers would I change each of them to to make them default?
kgbaseball
I felt the exact same way, so I changed them to what I felt was appropriate. 0x88da6eac 9<of_outfieldin>;0;1 28.1;2 11.6;3;4 36.8;5 46.8;6;7 33.9;8 76.3; 0x8a2ab989 9<of_sacbunt>;0;1 47.7;2 14.9;3;4 45.5;5 45.0;6;7 52.5;8 73.6; 0xe02ad8cc 9<of_slaphitter_lh>;0;1 68.0;2 10.0;3;4 68.2;5 39.0;6;7 68.2;8 68.2; 0xe02ad992 9<of_slaphitter_rh>;0;1 68.2;2 21.8;3;4 68.2;5 51.0;6;7 68.0;8 80.0; 0xe897625d 9<of_standard_lh>;0;1 68.0;2 19.0;3;4 68.0;5 49.0;6;7 68.5;8 78.0; 0xe8976323 9<of_standard_rh>;0;1 68.5;2 13.0;3;4 70.0;5 41.0;6;7 68.0;8 71.0; 0x484e4e24 9<of_extremeshift_lh>;0;1 68.0;2 22;3;4 68.0;5 57.5;6;7 68.5;8 83.5; 0x484e4eea 9<of_extremeshift_rh>;0;1 68.5;2 6.6;3;4 69.0;5 32.5;6;7 68.0;8 68.0; 0x556d89f9 9<of_pullhitter_lh>;0;1 68.0;2 19.0;3;4 68.0;5 53.0;6;7 69.5;8 81.0; 0x556d8abf 9<of_pullhitter_rh>;0;1 68.5;2 9.0;3;4 68.0;5 37.0;6;7 68.0;8 71.0; 0x7518b3fb 9<of_spray_lh>;0;1 68.0;2 16;3;4 68.0;5 46;6;7 68.5;8 75; 0x7518b4c1 9<of_spray_rh>;0;1 68.5;2 15;3;4 68.0;5 44;6;7 68;8 75; I don't know how close they are to default, but they suit me well.
