I just want to verify that I will be able to do this without a lot of pain. If I format the hard drive, will my PC be able to read from a CD (Windows XP)? Please let me know soon! edm Posted March 26, 2006 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Most recent computers can boot from the cd, older pc's however need to boot from a floppy. Go into your bios and see if booting from your cd-rom is an option.
