What to do about Clemens?

Odds are 50/50 or so that Clemens will play this year, but in May sometime. If I leave him as a free agent some team will pick him up in the first week. If I put him in the Astros (or Ranger's) minors, he'll be pitching on the big league club within a week. Is there anyway to put him on the Astros (my choice), on the DL for 30 days to reflect his late start. I don't want to start a Mets dynasty only to have to restart it with an updated roster 6 weeks later when Clemens comes back.

start with the mets and sign him ... then, around may, trade him to the team he is going to play in rl. if he retires, just bench him in single a or so, and he won´t pitch in the game
