fixing MVPedit import error with already patched rosters

OK, after looking around, I know that there's a problem with importing roster files into MVPedit because of some files that are screwed up by the more recent EA patches. I encountered that problem (runtime error 1361 or whatever it was), and the supposed fix is to download tony3's attrib.dat file for patch 4.

However, I actually installed patch 5 when I got the game in late December, and after that I used Totte's Ultimate Rosters (the most recent one, that's updated as of last Sunday). Since the instructions for tony3's fix is to put those files in when you're using the straight patch 4 rosters and not modified rosters like UR, what am I supposed to do? I still have the patch 4 and patch 5 programs from EA on my computer, but neither one will install right now (something about the old file being missing.)

Do I have to uninstall and reinstall all of MVP? or is there a way to get around this and just swap some files in and out? I ask becasue I have a bunch of other things that I added mods for, like stadiums, overlays and portraits, and I'd hate to have to download and replace all those files all over again.

Thanks.

Oh, and please be as specific as possible in the explanations of what to do (if something other than a full reinstall can be done), since I'm not used to tinkering with the individual pieces of something as complex as this game.

I think if you just install the Ultimate Rosters you should be good to go. (I may be overlooking something, but since the .dat file you mention is in those rosters, that should be ok)
