MVP Loading error (please help!)

I need help, if I can't play MVP Baseball now, I will go nuts. I load my CD, and the little inset pic comes up like it is loading, then I get the message that MVP Baseball has encountered an error and it doesn't load. I get error details and they look like this:

ModVer: 4.0.1.4 Offset: 000248e7

I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, to a different HD even. I tested out a NO CD exe for it, and it runs, but seeing as how that is only Version 1, it is very choppy and plays badly. When I tested a MVP CD file to run on a daemon drive (I have the real game and CDs no worries) it still has the same error. What could it be? This just happened all of a sudden.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you installed any mods? if not, my suggestion is to uninstall & reinstall. However make sure that you delete everything both in the main MVP 05 folder & also the one in the "my documents" folder. Sometimes the uninstall program can leave some files & one of these may be what is causing your error.

Good point, I didn't touch the my documents. I wanted to keep my save files and such, but I suppose they could be causing a problem.

you could back-up your save files, and then put it back in the folder after you have reinstalled the game. First try it without your save files, and if that works, with your save files in the right directory. Might help.
