yonahs
New Season, so its time to put MVP 2005 back on the computer. Can someone give some kind of intructions on how to get to this new MVP '06 game from a fresh '05 installation? Also, does that include the new Opening Day rosters? Thanks. aukevin
First, install up to at least patch 3 from the EA official patches. You can get them in the download section if you want. Next, download one of the MVP Mods '06 downloads (the two downloads install the same thing, they are just different ways to install the 06 mod). Install it and you are good to go. You must apply the EA patch #3 before you install the '06 mod. The 06 mod doesn't include the Opening day rosters. After you install the 06 mod, download the UR 6.0 or SwingingSoriano's (or both) rosters and install them. You will also need to download one of Big Shmooz's models.big files in order to use the UR 6.0 Plus edition of the rosters.
m0ng0
ahh, thank you I have been waiting for this too! Its funny I finally removed 2005 just a week ago, but somehow I stumbled across this place thank goodness! I read somewhere there may be a compatability issue with this ultimate roster while using this living large pack?

Jymbo05
Is there a way to install the newest '06 without uninstalling the original game? Right now I've got TC5 on there, but I'd like to have the new '06 with opening day rosters. If possible, I'd like to keep TC5, but that's not a requirement. aukevin
Is there a way to install the newest '06 without uninstalling the original game? Right now I've got TC5 on there, but I'd like to have the new '06 with opening day rosters. If possible, I'd like to keep TC5, but that's not a requirement.I have three different versions of the game on my computer. What I did was install the game from the disc and apply patch #3. Then I copy that ProgramFiles/EA Sports/MVP Baseball 2005 folder to "MVP Baseball 2005 Total Classics" for example. That leaves the original folder for the 06 mod, and then when I want to play TC, I go and use the mvp2005.exe that is within the Total Classics folder. I also have a folder for the WBC. I just create a different shortcut for each exe on my desktop. With having them separated into different folders under your "Program Files/EA Sports" folder, you have separate games that you can mod each separately. Of course you have to have the hard drive space to copy the folder. Since you already have TC installed, I would rename that folder to something like Total Classics, and then reinstall MVP from the disc. Since you renamed the TC folder, the install won't mess with the Total Classics game you already have set up.
yonahs
aukevin: Can you please give me a name that I should look for in the downloads section for the best of these 06 mods. aukevin
aukevin Can you please give me a name that I should look for in the downloads section for the best of these 06 mods. (I already installed the first 3 pathes and have installed UR6+ and shmooz's files)You need one of the 06 mods, I used this one because the file size was smaller: http://mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Download...details&id=2844 or you can download this one: http://mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Download...details&id=2845 They are the same end product, just different ways to install them. Once you install one of those, you will need to install the UR6+ and schmooz's models.big again because they are newer than the 06 mod you just installed. Once you have that, you should be all set with the 06 mod and then you can start looking around at other people's outstanding mods out there. I believe that is what you are asking. Now, I think there are a couple other mods that you should consider like the new release of Total Audio, Uncle Mo's Best Dang Audio Mod parts 1 and 2, and I really like edm's Batter Walkup Music mod. Also check out Pirate's newly released Busch Stadium, I imagine it's awesome (I haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet). I like MaddieDaddy's datafiles, as well as the new KSM one. I would take the time to go through lots of different datafiles available to see which ones suit you best. I'm sure other's can reccomend some good mods for you too. yonahs
I really don't mean to be difficult. What section in the MVP Baseball 2005 download page are the Mods under? What is the name of the "best" one?
