pfalvey
My dynasty locks up my PC every time I get to April 10, game 7 of the 1st season. I can play or sim my MLB game, but it always hangs when trying to sim a minor league game on that day. I can't seem to get past that day starting 3 different dynasties. I installed, in order, EA patch #5 and then LL MOD06. I also am using Swinging Soriano's MOD06 roster and installed the correct version. If anyone has any solutions or suggestion, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pat
ginfest
The SS rosters show 34 errors in some of the minor league teams lineups-suggest you check it our and correct the problems then the sim should be ok. oops- forgot to say open the lineups in MVPedit and under "Tools/Check Errors" you will get the list so you can correct the issue. pfalvey
Thanks, ginfest, I have tried just about everything except that. I thought about it, but I figured if that was the problem, wouldn't others have that same problem. Thanks, Pat
pfalvey
That solved the problem, although I think it had more to do with the fact I was using the .sav version of SS's roster. Instead of using the .mbe version thru MVPEdit, I was just placing the .sav version into the my documentsMVP2005 folder. Pat
SwinginSoriano
I wouldn't know how the errors would affect simulation, the game resorts all the rosters after about a couple sims anyway.
pfalvey
SS, That's true, it may not have anything to do with your roster itself, per se. It could be the difference in the way it is installed. With the .sav version, you just put the .sav file into the My DocumentsMVP2005 folder and no other files are affected in any way. With the .mbe version (MVPEdit), using MVPEdit to open the .mbe file, and export it to the MVP2005Baseballdatadatabase directory and nearly all the files in the database folder are changed or updated. That could explain why the UR rosters in the mod06 worked and yours didn't, the UR rosters were made the default rosters (in the database folder) by the MVP06 Beta Mod itself. Just an educated guess on my part as to why it works now as before it didn't. Anyway, now I don't have to choose between SS rosters and the MVP06 mod, I can use both. ginfest
Glad that you got it sorted. And SS, no prob with your rosters here, appreciate the work that you do I have had this sim prob in the past with the game and found that it can be picky about certain lineups not being filled out, why I have no idea. pfalvey
Yeah, definatly no disrespect intended, your rosters are great, that's why I was looking so hard for the solution. Pat
