79th_Infantry
I have been playing MVP 2005 on a CRT monitor for some time but recently moved and now have a 17inch flat panel display. I never had problems before but now when I start up the game the opening movies and menu are completely distorted and unusable. Think of putting a magnet against the screen and it all goes to one weird color. I have a hard time believing that EA would create a game that is not capable of working on some monitors. Does anyone know if I can change the menu resolution or change any options ot fix this? My video card is in perfect order, so that is not it. Thanks. baseballfans
I guess u will never make a post here if U didn't have a problem. How could U make your 1st ever post here when u joined in 2005? Didn't even mention about the site and how much our modders work meant to U? So please do that on your next reply. Now for help I recommend U include your PC spec and your monitor spec and more importantly what video card U are using to run this game.
79th_Infantry
Nice to know the people here are so kind and generous! I think I could make my first post now because this site is so great and everything has worked great so far and I have a career other pursuits. Take your pick. Anyway, my system specs are: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 1024.5 GB RAM Intel Pentium 4 HT 2806.5 GHz DirectX 9.0c ATI RADEON 9700 Pro 128MB SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio SVA 17" Flad LCD max 1280 x 1024 & 75Hz refresh I don't think the system specs should be the problem since it ran before. There seems to be a resolution problem somehwere with the initial menu.
baseballfans
U use an ATI RADEON 9700 Pro 128MB First get the latest video driver to see if that may help. Than your SVA 17" Flad LCD max 1280 x 1024 & 75Hz refresh See if U can find newest driver for that LCD. And see if ATI pick up on that LCD name when U install it. And set your refresh rate at 60hz because the game run it at that speed.
79th_Infantry
Thank you, you are my hero. The refresh rate was the issue. The specific fix was the go into the ATI Catalyst menu and set the refresh rate override to 70Hz since my monitor can handle that. Thanks for your help.
