jpup Posted June 28, 2004 Share Posted June 28, 2004 Which one way is the best for you?....Thats what i have been tring to figure out..So I must ask what data file and what slider adjustments do you play with that seem to work good for cpu vs player play (and, or) cpu vs cpu manager play. i have found that roddata 3 and 4 are the best for me as far as human vs. cpu. seems that the HR power is definitely reduced too much for my taste though. i just finished playing a game and barry bonds crushed a mistake pitch up in the zone, but it died at the wall. that was with roddata 4. he changed the ball trajectory and it's very good in most cases, but not so good in others. i would like a datafile that allowed you to play on all-star level with 0 slider movement. most of it is just personal taste though. it's kind of trial and error for me. i keep changing almost on a daily basis. these guys have put in some great work, but we haven't seen a human player specific datafile that is widely used. again, it's all personal taste. the rosters also have a lot to do with it too. i think that i'm going to try and mess around a little with it if i can figure it out.... Ron has introduced beautiful ball physics that can be tweaked to your liking (more power/more homers/less homers etc) without loosing the beautiful loft physics. I have to say I disagree with every single thing you just said. You can make trades and develop your young talent just as much while still playing Human vs. CPU. And If you beat the crap out of every team day in and day out, either you're playing too easy of a level, or your sliders are garbage. And it's more of a challenge to get to the championship game while actually playing the games than going CPU vs CPU like you said, but of course you need good sliders and need to play at a challenging level.
