I supose this is my computer's graphics or something, cause no one is complaning about these graphics...here are my computers specs....

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.53 GHZ...256 MB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420....

I know those have to be really bad, so please everyone that reads this help me, and tell me what is wrong and what I need...and relatively the cheapest one or the minimum required.... because in a few months when the new operating system comes out, thats when I'm buying a whole new computer from Dell or HP...

THANKS for the HELP!!

well I would say pop in a 512mb chip of ram. its dirt cheap right now.

There is a thread in the tech talk area with video cards and how good or bad they are. but i would think you could pick up something in the ballpark of a radeon 9600 or geforce 5500 for fairly cheap.

good news is your CPU is just fine :D

Vista will be a resource *****...

and secondly Vista isn't being released until January 2007 or later...

The Redmond software maker said Tuesday that it would delay the consumer release of the new system, dubbed Vista, until January 2007.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/ptech/03/22/w...a.ap/index.html

i would just save my money and purchase a kick *** system... not specifically for Vista, but for gaming in general. Vista will be what XP was years ago... a buggy security breach. stick with XP and wait out with Vista.

Reinstall or upgrade your video drivers, looks like you have a culling problem. Culling is how the videocard decides what to render in front or behind an object. Sometimes this can be related to the Z-buffer.

If you look around, you can get a Radeon 9600 Pro card in your price range. I got the 128 Mb version 16 months ago for about $110, but the prices have come down considerably since then. You can also get a 256 Mb version now for a little more money. The 9600 Pro is an AGP card and it doesn't require any extra power connections (like the 9800 and newer cards do).

While the 9600 Pro is not state-of-the-art technology (it's a few years old), it's more than sufficient for my gaming needs (MVP Baseball, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor) and I'm very happy with the way games look.

I was originally running the card in a 1.6 GHz Dell 4300 with 512 MB RAM, but swapped it over to our other PC (2.8 GHz Dell 4600 with 1 GB RAM) about 6 months ago.

How's the NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 compared to ATI RADEON 9800 PRO?

The 9800 PRO is light years ahead of the GeForce MX 420. All of NVIDIA's MX cards are less powerful cards. For example, the MX 420 is in the GeForce4 family, so at first glance, you would think that it is a more powerful card than the GeForce3 cards. That is not the case. My old GeForce3 Ti500 was more powerful than the MX 420.

The 9800 Pro is a DX9 card, while the MX 420 is a DX7 card. Here are some more details: http://www.pcvsconsole.com/features/video/
