rbaior
While simulating through minor league games it freezes and it always seems to freeze after some games played. I wouldn't be able to sim past that game that caused the freeze. Any idea? Thanks.
pfalvey
We could use more info. Are you using the 06 mod?, What rosters? I had the same problem as you, I could not get past April 12, it would crash at the sim screen. I had the 06 mod, but was using Swingin Soriano's roster. I installed the 06 mod version of that roster, but in the .sav format, and it was this that was causing my game to crash. When I installed the .mbe format using MVPEdit, my dynasty stopped crashing. You may also try starting a new dynasty turning CPU initiated trades OFF, I read a thread where that may be a solution for this issue, although it did nothing for me. rbaior
Sorry, I didn't give too much info earlier. I was using BigSchmooz + 1326_UR 6.0 Plus Edition Roster + Swinging Soriano's roster. Now I am convinced that the culprit is the Swinging Soriano's roster. You'd mentioned that you had used MVPEdit to get around the problem. Can you elaborate on that a bit? Thanks for any help. pfalvey
OK, keep 2 things in mind when installing SS rosters, or any rosters. You need to install the correct version (EA 2005, MVP06 mod or Big Scmooz) and install using 1 of 3 methods (with the .sav file, .mbe file or the database). It's outlined in the readme. I'm not sure it matters, but you didn't specify if you had the MVP06 mod installed. I did have it installed, so that may be a difference in the cause of our problems. Anyway, I couldn't get past April 10 of my dynasty, no matter what I did it would crash at the sim screen. Finally, about to give up, I installed the rosters using the .mbe file. You have to use MVPedit for this (D/L it from www.glass4.com). Using MVPedit, open the .mbe file and extract it to your MVP 2005datadatabase directory. I've had no problems simming since. Actually, you could probably just install with the database folder, no need for MVPedit. I imagine the process is simlar with the UR rosters, but I don't really know since I don't use them.
