PolishJoe
Hello, After searching through all 11 pages that came up as a result of my search: Player Ratings, I can't find a definitive resource for determing hitting ratings/ attributes and their statistical equivalencies. That being said, I'm starting this thread to try to get feedback from all of the users/ modders who have a good understanding of MVP Baseball and baseball. I'm curious, in a perfect world with pitchers only throwing straight fastballs, what ratings equate to what type of statistical results? Example Put another way, if Albert Pujois, a typical power-right-hander, faced off against a southpaw in 100 at bats, how many would Pujois put in the bleachers? (This sounds like one of those word-problems from elementary school  ) I'm just trying to get a comprehensive understanding of what a hitter's power attribute value equates to. - Thanks for any input from all you veterans!
Hoop27
check baseballsimcentral Joe I think there is a CAP walk through that used real stats to come up with ratings including power.
SwinginSoriano
Krawhitham made this, it isn't your exact answer but you'll have a blast. http://www.eamods.com/roster/
PolishJoe
Dang! Thanks you guys! I've already lost about an hour reading over some of the post at SimCentral  and I've ran a couple of guys through Kraw's Excel sheet. Aside from Spray Charts, FOX Sports & regular ESPN provide all of the othre information. I'm not sold on the spreadsheet calculator though. Adam Dunn got a contact of 37 8O against lefties. I know he'll never win a batting title, but ouch! Nonetheless, they're both great resources. Thanks a bunch Hoop & SS!
SwinginSoriano
When I use that sheet in the future, I'll use it as a guide but ultimately I would still want to determine the ratings. Obviously, it's better than nothing and it is quite the handy tool.

PolishJoe
I agree. I also tend to give my favorite players higher ratings than I probably should. Even if I don't use this tool to the letter, it's still a really good objective guide. :!:
Timbo
Could someone please post a link to download Kraw's Exel sheet? I can't seem to find it. Thanks
