createbaseball
next AAA Stadium....here are some very early previews. no work done on the backdrops. and I need to find out if any of the stadium modders would know how to make a good looking netting for the left field...What I created looks decent in the screenshot, but its too thick...looks more like a fence. any ideas? biker_jim_uk
For the net, you could make a really big texture so you can make the mesh small enough, or use tiling with a smaller net bmp, or just make it all black, but make the alpha grey so it appears slightly opaque? something like this? also, a001 has a net you could try, see nete in cram32. createbaseball
thanks Biker....I will give the BMP a try. I tried doing the grey alpha, but it seemed like it just made it 100% transparent no matter what percentage of black I used...not sure what I was doing wrong on that one. I think I remember SeanO saying that in order for the gray alphas to work (appear semi-transparent), the geometry must be from either the net or alphablend instead of the mstadium. MasterBigsby
Try that net that Biker posted and that should look pretty good.
createbaseball
Mrlins....hmmm, I wouldnt even begin to know how to do that. I think I will give the screen BMP's from Biker a shot...
biker_jim_uk
make sure the type in the index is the same as a bmp with alpha, 61/97/DXT3 ? should be ok and just to clarify the bottom 2 are from MarkBs Waterfront stadium file I think.
