PolishJoe
I don't have the original for the Logitech, but I imagine that you can do the following to get it to behave like the PS2 assignment: - Go into MVP Baseball 2005 - Go to MY MVP - Go to MY OPTIONS - Go to CONTROLLER CONFIG. - Be sure your controller is selected and then choose LOAD PROFILE - Choose the Logitech 12 1 4 and apply and save the profile/ configuration - Exit the game Go into the MVP folder within "My Document" and find the file called controller.config. Open it with NotePad and look for: VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 3 If your config file switches the appropriate axis assignments for your right Analog Stick, change it so that it matches the one above, e.g. Right/Left = 4 and Up/Down = 3 Feel free to post back if this doesn't solve your issue man
Bigschiff7
My controller is all messed up. To walk when i hit button 5 which is L1 on ps2 it walks him. It should be button 5 (L1) and pressing down on the left analog. I really need help with this. lol

PolishJoe
polish Joe I downloaded your config file for the recoil controller. Would you mind telling me what to do inorder for it work. Thanks Hey man, For the Recoil controller to work, I believe that all you have to do is put it in your MVP Baseball 2005 folder located within your My Documents folder. However, I strongly suggest backing up your existing controller.config - just so that you can't be left worse off, you know? Let me know if you need any help. Oh, and one thing worth mentioning - see what name MVP assigns to your Recoil Controller within the game. For GG, MVP correctly called it "GGE908_PC_Recoil_Pad". But, for my friend, MVP referred to it as " USB_4-Axis_12-Button_Gamepad". I'm pretty sure that's because GG properly installed his - unlike my technically-challenged friend. My controller is all messed up. To walk when i hit button 5 which is L1 on ps2 it walks him. It should be button 5 (L1) and pressing down on the left analog. I really need help with this. lol What did you do man? 8O - Nah, just joshing you. If it's possible, would you be able to zip your controller.config file and upload it to this post? Just right-click on the "Controller.cfg" file located in your My DocumentsMVP Baseball 2005 folder and choose to send it to a compressed zip folder. I can take a look at it no later than tomorrow morning and see if I can help in some way.
Bigschiff7
Well thanks for the offer. But i had someone from the league send me his. It's perfect. Thanks for the attempted help. I'm just computer stupid sometimes.
Joshuabinx
Hey Poilsh Joe, I tried what you said to do and unfortunately I couldn't get it to work. I did see that USB Game Pad but that has been there since the day i started to use the pad. I really have no clue what to do or what could be going wrong. I put the .cfg file into my documents, then I went into MVP, My MVP and to controller config. But i did not see the new game pad. I did see the USB one but when I looked at it on the screen after you click control config from MY MVP, it had swing as button 2 which is not correct it should be button 3. So if you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it, just to let you know I was having the same problem as CG when it came to baserunning. Thanks a lot. PolishJoe
Well thanks for the offer. But i had someone from the league send me his. It's perfect. Thanks for the attempted help. I'm just computer stupid sometimes. Glad to hear you got it solved! :yeah: It's difficult to enjoy MVP when your controller isn't working properly, you know? Also, Joshuabinx, if it's possible, could you upload your original Controller.cfg file from within the My Documents MVP Baseball 2005 folder? Oh, and also, do you know the exact make/model of your controller? PolishJoe
Hey man, It sounds like you have the same controller as GG. The only crappy thing is that that should mean the config file should have helped. But, before doing anything else, I'm curious to see what your Configuration file looks like. To upload it, just follow these steps: - Open My DocumentsMVP Baseball 2005 directory - Locate "controller.cfg" file - Right-Click on file > Send To > Compressed (Zip) Folder You should then have a zipped file by the same name, (controller.zip). - Reply to this post - Below the text-body and the options section, locate the "Add an Attachement" portion. - In the Filename Field, just choose "Browse..." and point to the zipped folder you created above - Choose "Add Attachment" button Or, I guess you could just copy your the text within your controller.cfg file and paste it into a new post - similiar to what GG did. Man I'm awfully wordy tonight...

PolishJoe
Okay Joshuabinx, I think/hope this works... :? Attached to this post is a small zip document. Download and unzip it's contents. There are two files within it: - OriginalController.cfg - controller.cfg You should be able to place the "controller.cfg" into your My DocumentsMVP Baseball 2005 folder - overwriting anything already there. And, as the name suggests, if this doesn't work, the 2nd file included in this zip file is your previous version of your configuration file - should you need to revert to it. 8O
Joshuabinx
Joe thanks for all the help i don't know why things aren't working i reverted back to my orignal because i was not seeing much of a difference in the controls when it came to the sliding. I am wondering though if i were to open up my orignal and change the axis number if that would work. If you think it would, could you please tell me how to go about doing it. Thanks again for all your time and help.
PolishJoe
Hey Joshuabinx, So....um...how mad would you be if I told you I may have uploaded the wrong file? I "may" sent you my friend's original configuration for his Recoil gamepad instead of sending you the update I sent to him. Sorry man...but, in fairness, my user name should advise Anyway, all that aside, attached is the correct Recoil Gamepad configuration for your system. In addition to correcting the button mapping, it also addresses the default incorrect axis values for the right analog stick. So again, just download and unzip the attached zip file. Replace the existing file within My DocumentMVP Baseball 2005 with the unzipped one from the download. Let me know how that turns out if you can. Again, sorry for the runaround. :?
