donamy55
I just bought a brand new Gateway FPD2185W LCD monitor and reinstalled my video drivers for my 6800 GT card and now the game is really choppy. I didnt change any settings in game. 1280rez vsync on. I have no idea why the game would get choppy because of a new monitor. Should I try to Re-install? pfalvey
I don't know, but it could be your video card or the new drivers. Those are some of the issues associated with stuttering, espescially if you have the MVP06 mod. Pat
donamy55
Shouldn't be my video card or drivers since I've been playing with no problems. Only thing new is my monitor. So yea im confused, I really dont know much about LCD's
PolishJoe
I know this may be a dumb question, but after you reinstalled your drives and all, did you check to make sure all your video settings were as you wanted them, like before? I know you said you had a 1280 x 720 screen resolution, but is that for Windows or for MVP?
edm
Are you playing at 60hz? (with vsync on?)
donamy55
Fixed my problem. It was happening in all games. Turns out to be the software that came with the monitor called EZTune. I checked a forum for widescreen gaming and there is a problem with that software. I uninstalled it and the game flies now. Thanks to all who replied!! So to anyone who has this monitor, dont install the software! I guess its full of bugs.
