TheSilent
Is there any software to program my controller. Last night I was playing fine, but today when I started playing my run analog stick turned into run and dive, whereas it was run, then the 2nd one was dive. If there isn't any full controller editor, anyone know how to fix this?
PolishJoe
Hello and welcome to MVPMods.com! :yeah: Regarding your controller issue, I think I'm confused. :? I believe you said that you are using two different analog sticks for baserunning - one for running and one for sliding. Correct? Technically, users don't use an analog stick to "run" - they use the standard D-Pad buttons. However, if you'r referring to fielding, then the left analog stick makes fielders run and the right analog stick makes fielders dive. Traditionally anyway. What controller are you using? TheSilent
Thanks, I'm referring to fielding, and like you pointed out, yesterday it worked like it was supposed to. However, I booted up the game after turning off my computer and sleeping, and the right analog stick makes the fielders dive and run, so it's impossible to field, but I can run if they actually get the ball in their glove. I'm using a Wingman Rumblepad (it's old...), I'm just confused as to how it got screwed up when it was working perfect.
PolishJoe
Hey man, I'm not too sure what buttons are on a Logitech Wingman even though I used to have one. When looking over the pictures that come up on Google, there are like 3 buttons in the middle face of the controller. What are those buttons? I'm pretty sure one enabled/disabled the Rumblepad. I think the other is just another button - like a START/ PAUSE button. However, the last button might be the analog mode enable/disable button. If this is the case.... When you played prior to turning your PC off, did you have analog mode enabled? If so, perhaps upon rebooting it disabled itself. Make sense? I'd try to enable it and then restart the game and see if that does anything. Post back with your results and good luck! TheSilent
The far left button is start, the two in the top-middle are for enabling the analog sticks and enabling the rumble. I've tried playing with the analog mode enabled and only the DPad, both make the player dive instead of run. Later today I'm going to try to uninstall the controller from Device Manager and plug it back in. Thanks for the help, I hope I can get it fixed. :(
PolishJoe
Do you have any software/drivers installed for the controller? If so, go into Add/Remove Programs and unistall anything related to your Wingman. Then, go here to download Logitech's newest drivers for the controller. Also, even if you already have the newest version of DirectX installed, it wouldn't hurt to download the newest version here. After you have both downloads on your computer, remove the controller from your PC. Then, install the Logitech software and then the DirectX software in that order. Even if you're not prompted, reboot your machine and throw in your controller following the next windows loadup. Go into Control Panel > Printers & Other Hardware > Game Controllers and from there run the calibration wizard. Next, start MVP and go to My MVP > MVP Options > Controller Config. Make sure that the analog mode is enabled and choose to Load a Profile. Load the Logitech 12 4 1 profile. After you've done all that, try to start up a game and see if you're still experiencing the issues. Good Luck!
walkinman
I ended up having to use logitech's calibration removal tool after uninstalling the drivers and installing a fresh DX9. I'm using the 11 5 1 profile however with only the standard windows drivers rather than logitech's. config file- profile= Logitech_WingMan_Cordless_Gamepad_USB device= Logitech_WingMan_Cordless_Gamepad_USB player= 1 number_of_buttons= 11 number_of_povs= 1 number_of_axis= 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_START= button 9 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SELECT= not_assigned -1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CROSS= button 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CIRCLE= button 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SQUARE= button 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_TRIANGLE= button 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L1= button 7 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R1= button 8 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L2= button 10 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R2= button 11 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L3= button 6 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R3= button 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_UP= pov0 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_DOWN= pov180 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_LEFT= pov270 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_RIGHT= pov90 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_UP= axis+ 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_DOWN= axis- 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 5 VPAD_PITCH_1= button 1 VPAD_PITCH_2= button 2 VPAD_PITCH_3= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_4= button 5 VPAD_PITCH_5= button 8 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_SECOND= button 5 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_THIRD= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_OUT= button 1 VPAD_THROW_BALL= button 3 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_WALK= not_assigned -1 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_HITBATTER= button 6 VPAD_PITCH_HISTORY_OPEN= button 6 VPAD_SWING_NORMAL= button 1 VPAD_SWING_BUNT= button 3 VPAD_CHARGE_MOUND= button 5 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_SECOND= button 5 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_THIRD= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_HOME= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_SWITCH= button 7 VPAD_FIELD_RELAY_THROW= button 11 VPAD_FIELD_CUTOFF_THROW= button 11 VPAD_FIELD_FAKE_RUNDOWN_THROW= button 8 VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= button 2 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= button 5 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= pov90 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= pov0 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= pov270 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= pov180 1 VPAD_BASERUNNER_ADVANCEALL= button 7 VPAD_BASERUNNER_RETREATALL= button
