Multiplayer is screwed

I have been trying to have an IP to IP game and every time it screws up. We have the same datafile, models and rosters yet (example from earlier), I'll have struck him out and then on his end he hit an inside the park home run. We are really confused and all of my ports are open. Can anyone help me?

Yeah, this was so bizzare when we tried to play. We downloaded Big Schmooz's models.big file which he updated a couple days ago together, we both have UR 6.2 plus, and I sent him my datafile. Is there something else we're missing? The connection wasn't the problem, it was something with the actual gameplay (as was already described).

Does anyone have any hints? Can anyone just run down how they play Direct IP games, and the steps they take with their opponent to make sure they're compatible?
