jxtuoleafs
Ok, I've dl'd Patch 3 and I have it located in my MVP 06 (06 mod) root file. When I patch it up, I get this message: Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match. Does this mean I've already patched it?? Is patch 3 inclusive with the 06 mod? Is it compatible with the 06 mod? I would greatly appreciate the answers to these questions. Thanks a bunch.
kgbaseball
What that means is that you have already installed other mods, so what you have to do is reinstall MVP Baseball 05 with everything original; then do the patches.
pfalvey
You need to install the patch before the 06 mod. Pat
jxtuoleafs
Ah, thanks a lot gents...now another question...do you think this could be why the Direct IP multiplayer was having issues when I tried it earlier (as described in a post in the MVP 06 forum)? I know it corrects the stuttering (which I didn't have a problem with)...is there any other significant issues it corrects that you know of? Thanks a lot again for your assistance. Thanks a bunch. kg is right....more specifically you just need to re-install the default roster files that came with the game (the ones on the CDs). basically there is something hard coded within the default files that the patches read and confirm before installing. if that "code" or whatever is not there...then you get the error you are seeing. so you don't need to reinstall everything...just the roster files and I cannot comment on the IP question. I will say this... if you are playing against somebody else IP to IP & you have no stuttering problems to begin with AND the person you are playing does not have the stuttering issue, my advice would be for you to not install the patch at all. The patch actually messes up a few cool things the game let you do before the patch was made.
MasterBigsby
This sucks. So now I have to reinstall MVP, then install the Patch #3 first, then MVP 06? ARGH!
big shmooz
You do not need to do that. Just reinstall the original .dat files of the rosters & the MVP 05.exe file. (you can get these items off your CD) & then install the patch. There is no need to reinstall the entire game.
MasterBigsby
Don't worry it works fine. The only problem I am trying to fix is my controller configuration. It sucks and I can't find a good one any ideas?
