GoChiefs
If you contact a ball in a cold zone with a 77 contact hitter, is the outcome of that contact calculated with a 67 contact rating or something? Or perhaps lower? Link to comment https://www.mvpmods.com/forums/topic/19505-what-exactly-do-hotcold-zones-do/ Share on other sites
big shmooz
I believe that if you make contact with the ball in the cold zone it will make it less likely that you hit it in such a way that will get you a base hit. You may pop it up more, or hit it more directly to a fielder, will not hit the ball as solidly etc... uspdude
i've always thought the players' swing will be a little slower in the cold zone. hence, more groundball and "awkward flyball" however it's still possible to hit HR in cold zone.
