Control Questions

Well, since my controller has screwed up and I lost my book to the game, I'm completely lost on how to do some things with the keyboard.

First, is there any way to lead off to steal? I've got thrown out countless times when I try to steal, even when a changeup is thrown.

Second, is there any way to slide into bases and/or knock over the catcher when running home.

I play Coach Only mode (Cpu vs Cpu) so I could not help you as far as keyboard functions....but as far as the knocking down of a Cather that animation or option has never been right as advertised by MVP.

I have friends who play joystick and they tell me the Catcher can't be knocked down. I have played countless games myself and have never seen that animation.

At least that way you can see what the default controls should be.

Actually, I've done it.

The positioning and timing have to be right. I've only done it once, but it was awesome.

I think you have to press up on the keyboard, or if/when you get a controller, up with one of the analog sticks.

Same as sunster, I did it once, but wasn't paying a lot of attention. It was sort of like the Erstad/Estrada collision last year.
