MasterBigsby
I am currently using an Xbox 360 Controller to play MVP and it is great except for a few things. I can't get a good configuration for my controller? What the hell? If I hit 'X' it goes to the Quick Screen and I can't throw all my pitches. What I am asking is if one of you guys uses the 360 Controller and have a good configuration? Thanks, I need this.
MasterBigsby
Also, how do I make it so I have the reverse pitching camera view?
serdna511
I am having the same problem and posted a similar thread. Hopefully we can get an answer here.
MasterBigsby
I might buy this sweet Wireless Logitech controller. If I don't get an answer I will. I want to experience this game nicely. Plus, when you play and a fieleder throws a ball, does the ball skip/stutter to it's destination? My game runs smooth except for the ball stuttering. serdna511
I might have figured it out just fooling around. I haven't tested it yet, but the game shows that it has my configuration. Open the game and go to MyMVP and go to Options and then Controller Configurations. Change something and save it. Now make sure your active profile is set to none. Go out of MVP (using Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and the controller.cfg file will be found under My Documents/MVP Baseball 2005. Open the .cfg file in Notepad and put this in instead of the current configuration: profile= XBOX_360_For_Windows_(Controller) device= XBOX_360_For_Windows_(Controller) player= 1 number_of_buttons= 10 number_of_povs= 1 number_of_axis= 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_START= button 8 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SELECT= button 7 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CROSS= button 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CIRCLE= button 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SQUARE= button 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_TRIANGLE= button 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L1= button 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R1= button 6 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L2= axis- 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R2= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L3= button 9 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R3= button 10 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_UP= pov0 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_DOWN= pov180 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_LEFT= pov270 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_RIGHT= pov90 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_UP= axis+ 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_DOWN= axis- 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 5 VPAD_PITCH_1= button 1 VPAD_PITCH_2= button 2 VPAD_PITCH_3= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_4= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_5= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_SECOND= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_THIRD= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_OUT= button 1 VPAD_THROW_BALL= button 5 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_WALK= button 9 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_HITBATTER= button 10 VPAD_PITCH_HISTORY_OPEN= axis+ 3 VPAD_SWING_NORMAL= button 1 VPAD_SWING_BUNT= button 10 VPAD_CHARGE_MOUND= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_SECOND= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_THIRD= button 3 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_HOME= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_SWITCH= axis+ 3 VPAD_FIELD_RELAY_THROW= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_CUTOFF_THROW= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_FAKE_RUNDOWN_THROW= axis- 3 VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= button 2 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= button 3 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= pov90 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= pov0 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= pov270 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= pov180 1 VPAD_BASERUNNER_ADVANCEALL= axis- 3 VPAD_BASERUNNER_RETREATALL= axis+ 3 Save it. Open back up MVP and load your normal profile. Go back to the controller configurations screen under My Mvp and Options. Now click load profile. Go to Keyboard 1 and select it after it says the buttons won't be mapped. Now exit the configurations menu WITHOUT SAVING. Once you are out of the screen, go straight back to it. The controls should now be correctly displayed. I am sorry this is confusing, I just found something that might work and want to explain step-by-step how I got it, even if some steps are uneccesarry. If this doesn't work for you then I don't know what to say. I really don't know what I am doing, I was just messing around with stuff. EDIT: I tested it and it seems to work except for the cutoff throw. I guess you could fool around and see what works for you. Now if only I could get the controller to vibrate. MasterBigsby
Ok, but what buttons on the Xbox 360 controller are buttons 1-10 and z axis and so on?
MasterBigsby
Great, now my Controller.cnfg file is screwed up. It couldn't find the program and now it's corrupted. So now I can't open it at all. ****!
brutushayesosu
the X button is actually the start button. If you go to pitch history screen the start and back buttons flip through the ab's. the more games you play the more you will get comfortable with the layout. The only thing that bothers me is that if you click the left stick in its the pause button. I have a tendency to push in while swinging so it kinda gets annoying.
