Keyboard controls/Hitting

hey, i just got this game for the PC and im having trouble trying to figure out the hitting. The default for hitting is the down arrow...now i know for the ps2 the key for hitting was swinging where the ball was pitched....how am supposed to direct my swing to the ball when the down arrow is my swing in the first place? even when i change it to spacebar or something, it doesnt seem like i have control of my swing. How can i fix this to where i have control of pulling the ball/going with the pitch....hitting a flyball/grounder?

yeah i cant even move my fielders...i guess they didnt want anyone playing with a keyboard...how the hell can they not have controls for moving the pitch cursor or your fielder...i guess ill just buy a damn controller

I'm pretty sure that the keys for controlling the "Pure Swing" system on a keyboard are on the numberpad.

8,2,6,4 equal Up, Down, Right, Left respectively.

yeah the controller would work better. use the readme for mvp2005 and it will give you a list of controllers that fully support mvp2005. you gotta put in CD1 and click on the readme. i didnt do that so my controller doesnt let me do everything.

I used to use the keyboard.

I never got good hits, especially home runs i could have great timing and still not knock it outta the park.

So... i bought a PS2 to USB converter

And installed the drivers

so i could use my PS2 Controller to play MVP

Ill never go back to keyboard!

It's so much easier to control where hits go and plus with a controller you can choose pitch location easier

For example,

In the 1st game played with the Ps2 controller

I got 3 HR by Ichiro

and 13 strikeouts by moyer

Definetely get a controller. I highly recommend it. Keyboard is horrible. I'd never go back to it.

PLUS a PS2 Controller has rumble too, you can feel the game lol.
