8ball
Roster Management I was thinking it over and I have to get a lefty into my bullpen. Now I have Switzer in the minors an he's 25 years old but doesn't have the stuff I'm looking for and I DON'T plan on keeping him in the organization. I feel that after progession NEXT season he is still going to be AAA pitcher at best. So I was thinking of making a trade with the Red Sox. Red Sox Would get: Jon Switzer age 25, 3 Star Career Potential Devil Rays Would get: Abe Alvarez age 22, 3 Star Career Potential Alvarez is younger and better now then Switzer is and will have more time to progess. Let me know any suggestions on whether this is a good trade or any other trade suggestions.
Roy31
I would do that deal if I were you, but I think you might be able to get something better for him. Hendrickson 11-0? Thats just silly, Yeah Arnold! I hate those type of players like Switzer, so I understand you're logic.
8ball
Thanks for your comment I really like Alvarez's stuff. I personally think Switzer is garbage I'm not sure I might be able to get someone better but I can't really think of any other young lefty that the CPU would trade. Roy31
Just a suggestion, maybe check out the jays they have a few good lefties in the minors. Also wanted to say this is an awesome dynasty, just started following it a day ago.
8ball
Thanks I appreciate fans. I enjoy your dynasty also. Anyway I checked the Blue Jays organization and Ricky Romero is the only good lefty I saw . But I still think Alvarez is a better pitcher.
8ball
I'm going to wait until tomorrow to complete any trades just in case anyone comes up with a better one. But most likely I'm going for Alvarez I already tested and the CPU will accept Switzer for Alvarez.
cybernetic
Well Romero is a starter so if you want a lefty for the pen he's not the option.. we don't really have too many good lefty relievers in the minors, mostly right-handers.. none of them are major league ready anyway (the lefties)
aaronuconn
Romero is a reliver in UR, I believe. He has the potential though im guessing over Alvarez so I would try to take Romero.
8ball
Thanks guys I really do want Alvarez he is probably gonna take over Mark Hendrickson's spot in the rotation in a few seasons anyway. Romero is listed as a reliever in UR thats why I don't really want him. I'd rather go for a starter who will pitch in the bullpen and spot-start. 8ball
Ok I finally made up my mind and I'm gonna go with Alvarez I just have a feeling he's gonna be a dominant pitcher in the league next season and will fit well with this team this season as a Spot-Starter/Long Reliever. D-Unit
maybe you should trade for a more high profile lefty, like JC Romero of the angels. you have plenty of talent to offer, maybe you could get scott shields too and strengthen the bullpen a lot. btw who is your closer? the rays seem to have a different one every week. 8ball
Yeah but he is a starter not a reliever. Well he's listed as a reliever and I wanna leave all the positions on the rosters the same. He may be the same age as Alvarez and have more career potential but his stamina is too low to be a starter next season.
8ball
My closer is Antonio Osuna and next season it will probably be Fernando Cabrera.
D-Unit
thanks for the info. keep up the great dynasty, i assume that you are in first place with a record like that too. I guess you show the full potential that the d-rays have.

He may be the same age as Alvarez and have more career potential but his stamina is too low to be a starter next season. That's only because they're slowly stretching him out (following his spring training injury). He went 7 innings in his last start and his stamina needs to be adjusted.
