Heelfan71
Hey, I am having a slight problem with my Logitech Rumble Pad 2. when I go to move a player on defense, my player dives no matter what direction I press. Any ideas?
PolishJoe
First of all, Welcome! Try the following and see if it helps at all - Go into MVP Baseball 2005 - Go to My MVP - Go to MVP Options - Go to Controller Config. - Under Gamepad 1, select "Choose Profile" - Select Logitech 12 1 4 - Accept the changes and save your profile If this works, your right analog stick will still be incorrect. That is, your "Up" on the right analog stick will act as though you hit "left". That's because by default everything is one-quarter counterclockwise off. But this is really simple to fix. However, I'd first make sure that your controller behaves properly before trying anything else. Also, if the steps above don't work, go into "Control Panel" > "Hardware" > "Game Controllers" and be sure your controller is properly identified there by Windows. Post back with the results and hopefully we can go from there.
Heelfan71
thanks for the help I selected the controller like you said. I can aim and pitch with the L analog. But once the ball is in play I have to use the D pad to control my fielders for some reason. If I use the analog they just dive. There is a button on the controller to swap the d-pad and analog but when I do that I have to pitch with the d pad.
Heelfan71
Weird, I turned fielding to "MVP" and it was working. Now it's not. Doing some research I saw you posted some config files. Mayb that will work. If you have a config file for the Logitech Rumple Pad 2 that would be very nice.
Heelfan71
I'm talking to myself LOL ! Just remembered that I am using the Living Large update. Is it possible that it has something to do with my problem.
PolishJoe
Hey Heelfan71, It's good to talk to yourself sometimes - others just don't listen well. About your controller, that's really odd. If you can, could you post your controller.cfg file here? Just go into My DocumentMVP Baseball 2005 and find the file "controller.cfg" and open it with Notepad. Also, in the meantime, is your controller recognized properly by Windows? And, do you have any Logitech software installed for your controller? Just go to Add/Remove Hardware and you should see "Logitech" if it is on your PC.

mflv
There is a Mode button that turns on a red light on the left side. That reverses the left controller with the D Pad. Turn the light out and it works normal again.
