Am I missing something by not installing the official EA patch ? JoeRudi26 Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 A couple of the updates are for rosters (which are old by now), but Patch 2 or 3 (not sure which) is for the 'stuttering' issue. Most people had a lag when the ball was thrown across the infield. pfalvey Posted April 24, 2006 Share Posted April 24, 2006 I don't believe you can patch the game with the 06mod installed, if you feel you need or want the patch you'd have to re-install the whole game. If there si no stuttering issue, though, I wouldn't worry about the patches. Unless you have a problem with stuttering or something like that, don't even bother with the patches. After you reinstall the game and install the patches, overwrite the default rosters and models.big file with the versions you had saved. You can do this with other files as well (uniforms, portraits, stadiums, overlay, etc.). For some reason the patch (any patch #1 - #5) can't figure out where to update the files.
