datafile explaination

Hello again,

I hope you folks aren't getting tired of my simple questions. I am new to the board and MVP 2005 and trying to better understand this datafiles thing. I understand that the datafile basically controls how the gameplay occurs. I was dondering if there is a downloadable tutorial explaining all aspects of a datafile for MVP 2005 or maybe a link to a thread that might help explain this. I am looking to better understand the game and I know the datafile is a big part of it.

I'm not sure there's a thread or download explaining exactly what every part of the file does, but you can pick up bits and pieces of what each part of a datafile does in the MaddiesDaddy datafile thread, the MVP06 datafile thread, and by downloading MDs datafile, you get a spreadsheet telling you what values change what. Hope that helps.
