ukealii50
As in when you are batting. I'm using the keyboard, configuration number 1. I press down on the directional pad to swing. That's all I know
Kccitystar
You don't guess where the pitch is going to be, you guess what kind of pitch it is by following the color coded guide. You read off what pitch it is coming off the pitcher's hand by looking at the color.
ukealii50
But I have no control over where I direct the ball to. I can't press up to hit a fly ball or down to hit a grounder. All I can do is swing.

ukealii50
I would if I were using one. However, since all I have for now is a keyboard I guess I'll be using that.
danc
I use the number pad. To hit a fly ball or a deep ball I hold "8" while swinging. To hit a ground ball I hold "2" while swinging. To hit to right field I hold "6" and to hit to left I hold "4". I have found that it is best to pre-select and than just swing at pitches that appear to fit my pre-selected swing path rather than trying to make a judgement call as the ball approaches. Hope this helps. P.S. tje 7.9.1.and 3 keys will work for combinations of above although I do not use them very often. Maybe for a sac fly.

mike_arrrr
Pick off is hold num-0 and toward the base. 0 + down arrow throws an out pitch. That's my attempt at a sad num-pad code. 8-Fly ball/Long ball 4 and 6- Hit to left and right side, respectively 2- Groundball up the middle 8+4/8+6- Flyball/Power shot to the left/right side 2+4/2+6- Grounder to the left/right side Hope that helped a bit And for pitching.. The num-pad works almost the same way. You can also throw purpose pitches just outside, holding the (') key and throwing your pitch.
GoldGlove
The best thing would be to get yourself a gamepad. Really, there's nothing that's better for sports games.
UncleMo
Get a game pad. I don't use hitter's eye. I consult a physchic advisor who tells me EXACTLY where every pitch will be, or I get a full refund.
MalibuKiller
sure you can guess where the pitch is going when you learn the pitch types , take a look at wikipedia there you should find some interesting stuff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitch_(baseball)
mrmariner
I agree, get a gamepad. All the controls are right at your finger tips, makes for alot better game play.
RedSoxFox7
if you've got a playstation 2 already, don't even bother with a PC gamepad just go to your local radioshack and pick up one of these: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.js...rentPage=search
