wow they might regret that decision for a loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg time

its kind of wierd that i hadnt heard of mario williams until recently, not when the actual college season was going on (same with jay cutler)

i dont know about dominic davis but hes not really a power back so reggie bush would get plenty of playing time

Great move by the Texans imo. I am not so sure Bush will even survive that long in the NFL with his size. The Texans already have a pretty good RB, they needed an impact player on defense or an OL. I would have taken Mario or traded down a few to get D'Brickashaw to protect their investment in Carr.

Reggie Bush is a 10-15 carry back. He's not a workhorse. Mario Williams is akin to Reggie White in what he can do and he spends 60 plays on the field. Domanick Davis has had 3 1,000 yard seasons. There is no reason to go rack up money in your RB department when you have absolutely NO offensive line. Good move by the Texans, although they still need a ton of help.

Wow. They needed to pick up D'Brickashaw Ferguson. But wow. Dumb move. They've got more important needs than a D-Line, and though they've got Dominick Davis, you build a team around Reggie Bush. He catches the ball out of the backfield and runs in the open field better than Davis anyway.

They should have taken D'Brickshaw Ferguson, we all know what he can do. He is a monster and the Texans definately need some Offensive Line help...immeadately!

I agree. They have had the worst o-line in the league the last few years. Unless Carr is that damn slow that he can never get rid of the ball

In my opinion the Texans passing on Bush was one of the most ignorant things to do. One can assume the Texans must not have seen video of how good this kid is. Did they see the return against Washington , or his multiple spectacular runs in his junior season? This will be a move the Texans will highly regret. When a superstar like Bush comes around you draft him regardless of whether you already have a great running back at that position or not.

imo, good move... the texans are switching from their 3-4 to a 4-3, which is a defense predicated upon a strong pash rush from the front 4... bush is def not a power back, and they already have davis who isnt either but is still great for what "offensive line" he has... williams fits in the scheme much better... their mistake was payin the kid 9 million a year... they prolly coulda done better since williams wasnt exactly in the bargaining position

You don't draft a guy number 1 and pay him 50-something million dollars to return kicks. Too much can go wrong and people get hurt way too easily. Being a running back is abusive enough, he doesn't need 4+ more opportunities a game to get the snot knocked out of him. Plus, the Texans have Jerome Mathis, and if you've watched any tape, he was one of the best, most explosive return guys, was just a rookie and made the Pro Bowl for returning. They aren't drafting a return man, they're drafting a running back. Yes, a running back who can do lots of other things, but who isn't going to be asked to do them all at the next level. They had bigger needs.

Although Bush was one of the best return men I know he shouldn't have returned kicks only. There are plenty of USC tapes that show his breakout runs as a running back , not only his kickoff and punt returns. I think Bush could have really helped the Texans...but oh well it's their loss and maybe it is better for him to be behind a better offensive line.

I agree this is a good move. They didn't need a 15 touch back. I now see the Jets trading from #4 to #2 with the Saints. The Saints don't need Bush and the Texans at #3 will take a QB. I say trade down to #4 and hope to get D'Brickashaw for the Saints.

I was about to say the texans have a pro bowl KR.
