lilloreo
I wanted to do a fresh and clean install of MVP but I can't find my CD key now. I legitamately bought it so I'm not trying to husle a free copy. Is there any way to reinstall it without the key or do I have to go buy a new copy? snepp
There's a good chance that your CD key is still being stored in the registry. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREElectronic ArtsEA SportsMVP Baseball 2005ergc
lilloreo
Do I just view that in windows explorer? if not, how do i get that info? Thanks
snepp
Go to "Start" then "Run" then type "regedit" (without the quotes) click OK The registry editor will open. Just browse to the path I provided. If you need more help you can hit me up on AIM or Yahoo if you use them.
lilloreo
Snepp, That subfolder (EA Sports) isn't in my registry anymore. The only folder still in there is for a demo of BFME II that i still have installed. Does this mean I'm pretty much screwed?
snepp
Yeah, if you're sure that you're looking in the right place and there aren't any EA Sports entries there, then you might be SOL.
MarkB
Holy crap, snepp is back! 8O lilloreo, EA used to have a question on their support section that basically stated that if you had lost your CD key or it didn't work, you had to send them an image of the front of the CD and I think maybe the receipt too, then they would send you a new CD key. Try their website or contact customer support.
Sharpshooter
I saw MVP 2005 at a pawn shop for 7.99. Didn't buy it, but there is hope.

snepp
Of course there are "alternative" methods available. I don't condone such actions, but I don't not condone them either.
