rolliefingers08
So you may have seen my other problem thread with models.big, and one suggestion was to try installing uniforms that I KNOW worked before. So that's what I'm trying to do, but when I open the bat file, it always gives me a message that gfxpack has had an error and shuts down. It is the newest version I can find... so what's the deal? big shmooz
To clarify Jogar's explanation. GFXPak has a bug that limits it to work only with a .big file that contains less than 3000 files in it. The models.big file you are working with contains more than that number. Hence the error message you are getting. The solution is to use eagraph (which no such limit) to insert the uniforms. joeswamp
How do you use eagraph to insert the unis? I've only used gfxpax.
big shmooz
The Eagraph program itself is really easy to use. Here is what you should do... Open the eagraph program. Go to the little folder icon (2nd from the left) Click it. It will say "open". Navigate inside the box that opens up to your models.big file. (it's in your data folder). When you find it, double click on it. Then you will see all the files inside on the left hand side of the eagraph program. Then click on the "import wizard" icon. (It looks like a yellow thing with a blue arrow) It is the 7th icon from the right. When you click on it it will open a box called "import wizard". Then click on the button called "next". This will open a box called "open source file". Navigate in here to the uniform files (wherever you put them after extracting them from the zip file) Highlight all the uniforms. (they should now be listed in the line where it says "file name"). Then click on the button called "open". Then click on the button called "next". Let the program finish running. After it has inserted all the files there will appear a button called "finished". Click it & close the program. You're done. Next time you want to do this, there is no need to click on the little yellow folder icon that says "new". There will be a teeny black arrow to the right of the yellow folder (within the same actual icon). Click on it & it will remember where you went last time. Then simply click on the name where it says models.big & it will open the models.big file for you. Also don't forget to check the properties box of the models.big file that says read only & save after you are finished installing the uniforms. Gordo
Ok, I got the same error message and tried to follow the above EAGraph instructions to install Chase Utley latest cyberface (c609.fsh; c609.ord; c609orl). The instructions above aren't exactly in keeping with what I'm seeing for EAGraph. Here's what I got: after opening the model.big and getting all the files in the left hand column and then starting the import wizard I get 2 choices: 1- add files to an external TAR archive and 2 - Create a new SHPI image by combining external FSH files. "Import an existing external file into the current open image" is greyed out and I cannot choose it. Therefore I tried using the TAR option, and let the program run, but after assigning Utley 609 via MVPedit (at least I think I did it correctly), he still had the same generic face in game. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? EDIT: nm, I found I was exporting in MVPedit to the datafile subfolder, not database....duh.
