shugknight
I'm about to face the Twins, and though they're my arch-nemisis, I still would like a realisitic lineup. This is their current lineup.. Stewert .299 White .303 Cuddyer .242 Hunter .255 Morneau .212 Batista 2.99 Mauer .313 Ford .346 Bartlett .222 Its pretty ridiculous that throughout the season they're playing with a lineup like that. Mauer and Ford should easily be hitting 3rd and 4th, but since they're not, they miss out on additional at-bats, as well as other stats (rbis, etc) which then ruins their progression. Anyways, is there anyway we can get a mod to somehow fix this? I know that I'm able to fix it before the actual game that I play them, but that doesnt change the seasonal lineup, since it reverts back to the default lineup after the series is over. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks.
kgbaseball
Eventually tywiggins' .dat exporter will allow you to do stuff like this in a dynasty. I think you could do it now, but I know he hasn't edited all the .dat files yet. You could try it I guess.
shugknight
can I ask where you would find the .dat exporter? I would search for it, but the search option is still busted. And any instructions on how to do it?
stecropper
do a search in the forums section for " exporter importer " and it should come up fairly high on the list if not first ............ the download for it is contained within the thread ..... 1st post in the thread has one download section but the latest version is toward the last recent post I think ...... it is a fabulous tool. BEFORE you start a season/dynasty/owner mode, it's imperative to go thru each teams lineups/pitching rotations and set them within whatever roster set you are using. Once that is done, the cpu will usually stay within that lineup. It's always worked for me.
DaDonch44
awesome idea xx74xx... i honestly never thought of doing this... is there a site that gives an accurate idea of what a team's lineup/rotation would be?? mlb.com, espn.com?? or is there a roster update that has the lineups how they should be at the beginning of season if all players were healthy?? thanks
DaDonch44
i mean the updated rosters... without players on the disabled list (if they were/are in real life) :D

kgbaseball
Ooh, nice find. I'll be using that. :)
shugknight
you can't do what xx74xx suggested, simply because when 1 or more players get injured throughout your season, the cpu will automatically make adjustements to their lineup. They dont make the most intelligent adjustement, so most of the time they're lineup is screwup! I played against the Cards, and Rolen was leading off. Also that link to cbs has wrong lineups for some teams. For sure the White Sox, becuase Iguchi is 2nd, and Uribe is 8th.
