bond007osu
I searched and didn't really find anything directly about a problem like this. My game at least once and at most 3 times a games minimizes and pauses itself and I am returned to the desktop screen. Now this is not really that annoying because I can just return right to it, but it can suck pretty bad if it times out to do this right as i am throwing a pitch and only get 50% effectiveness or miss an opportunity to crush a mistake pitch. I am wondering if anyone might know why this is happening because its not a crash and other than this game works really well.
fenway389
I also have the same problem. I think it has something to do with programs that are running in the background, (anti-virus etc.).
UncleMo
I am having this same issue. 2 times I've noticed it in the 8th inning in the middle of the pitch. Some times I get the game pause and I can not minimize to get to the desktop to shut down, I have to just crash it.
dgard20
same here. my advice is delete it. re-install and try with just patch 5, LL06 and live with it. so far I've played three games without crashing. its not what I want but it works for now. forget the other mods untill someone can figure exactly what brings down our computers
UncleMo
I'm gonna ignore, finish my dynasty, then do a fresh reinstall.
aukevin
This was happening to me but figured out what my problem was. I use the joytokey program so that my controller will control the mouse within the program. Well, I had assigned one of the buttons to a left-click on the mouse. Well, sometimes when I pressed the button that was assigned to that it would register as a click outside of the game and it would send the program minimized on the desktop. My fix to the problem was to assign the leftclick button to the bottom left shoulder button (PS2 style controller) in the game because it isn't used very much. That might not be what's happening to you guys, but that was my problem.
bond007osu
I also have the same problem. I think it has something to do with programs that are running in the background, (anti-virus etc.). Yeah it is possible its programs running in the background for me. I'll try playing with my Norton Internet Security turned off and see if that makes a difference. fenway389
Didn't for me. Didn't for me either. I disabled all non essential background applications, including anti virus, and even disabled my internet connection. No luck. It still minimized.
big shmooz
I don't know if this will help anybody but in NHL 06 after I would use my controller to navigate the menus by pausing my game with my controller, every time after that when I started up my game, instead of when it reached the actual screen where you are in the arena to play, that it would go to the game properly... the game would pause. I then had to unpause it manually. This would drive me crazy & it was even worse if it's online, because by default you only get three pauses per game & this would use one of them up. My solution was to back up my game & then uninstall & reinstall. This fixed my problem. Maybe the same can be done for MVP.
Sidewinder
Hey guys, I had the same exact issue and finally determined it to be my HP Printer stuff running in the background. So, now I Cntl-Alt-Del and close all the HP related things and no problems anymore. But, you have to do it every time you boot up.

atrain3868
I find End It All to be a great program to closing all non-essential programs before starting to play games. I used to get this same problem with Madden 2005 but as soon as I used end it all and closed all the programs I never had a problem again. I am not sure what program was giving me the problem but End It All took care of the problem. I believe it can be downloaded at downloads.com. Hope this helps!!
