dgard20
Is anyone els having problems winning ? I was 6-0 then lost eight straight but crashing started so I removed game and started completely over. Now I'm 0-5 and there are many hits but still losing. I've been playing MVP from the beginning but all of a sudden I cant win. Period Any ideas are apprecated. Are you playing with "variable stuff" on? If so, there will be times when you just can't win. Likewise, times when you can't lose. I wouldn't say it's definitive, but the cpu boosts certain aspects of the game from day to day and depending on situations. You can influence those "boosts" somewhat. Don't argue (with your manager) just for the sake of arguing, if you choose the right time you can boost your team. The "mound visit" is only designed to have an effect on your pitchers stamina. Positive, you go up. Negative, you go down. None, you stay the same. Another thing is, you can't show the cpu too many patterns. they will shut you down. You have to show different looks with every aspect, pitching, hitting, running etc. I don't know how the cpu keeps track of patterns, maybe by pitch count?, but the easiest way to "keep them on there toes" is to pretend they are a live opponent. One more thing, especialy on MVP level, you must pitch around guys. Take away there power. The cpu does it to you. That's why there are a lot of walks on the MVP level (if you have good discipline). They are trying to control and limit the damage, you should too.
DaDonch44
yeah it is def. hard to win sometimes... but other times it seems like you can be unstoppable. I started out 4-0 with the Yankees (swept Oakland and won the first against Anaheim), then I lost the fifth game 6-5 in the bottom of the 10th, then I won the next game. I started a series with KC. I was up 5-2 in the 9th, put in Mo Rivera... he proceeded to give up 7 runs and I lost 9-5. I wasn't pitching them meatballs or anything they were just getting clutch hits (2 HR, and 2 - 2B). I was very heated, but sometimes that does happen in the real game as well, so you have to take the good with the bad.
dgard20
Like I said I have been playing a long time but maybe that variable stuff is something to look into. I just went 2 to 1 with Phila vs Cards, eight inning and you guessed it game crashed. Any ideas on this. Its really irritating. Just when I thought it was all fixed a crash. Ugh!
