thespungo
I saw some pretty cool wallpapers today, so I thought I'd try and use all of the new Photoshop techniques I learned this year and try to apply them to a single picture. It can't really compare to what most other Photoshop pros can do, but it's the best I could muster out after an hour or so of work. Why in the world I spent a few hours making a Maria Sharapova wallpaper I will never know, but what I do know is that I now have to post this here so I could get at least a few comments, thus convincing myself that I didn't waste my Friday away... Also, tennis is the sister sport to baseball. Somehow...
Royal Blues
That actually looks quite good. Did you use the quick mask mode for extracting her from her original pics?
thespungo
Bluesy! I find it easier to just use the lasso and magic wand, rather than quick mask. I guess I'm old-fashioned that way... Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to incorporate the style in the Sharapova picture into my new MySpace page.
Dan
Quick mask doesn't work very well at all. Use the Polygonal Lasso Tool. And if you want to be more professional, use the pen tool. -BBHD
