Zelda55
I downloaded the latest 6.5+ models.big and Ultimate Rosters and I'm happy with the rosters, but I'm disappointed in the cyberfaces. MANY of them have been changed for the worse from the regular EA version...so my question is, what's responsible for the cyberfaces? The models.big file? And also, what cyberfaces would you recommend since these are pretty bad? I've seen individual ones that are good in the downloads section, but is there any big cyberface pack that's really good? JP_Frost
there are team packs you can download, but really ... I don't mean to sound like an ***, but you do come off sounding like one. If you don't like it then make your own changes or don't download it. Do you even imagine how much work it takes to make a models.big file which isn't corrupted? to change tons of players' face id's and to find slots to put new faces in? btw ... the people responsible for the cyberfaces (the guys who made them) have done a great job, so what are you gonna tell em? ... that you hate what they've done and you want them to deliver better work? Just do your own stuff in the future.
Zelda55
instead of very nicely licking the sweat off the balls of the creators, you could have just told me that the models.big has the cyberfaces. did i demand better cyberfaces? no. did i voice my approval of the rosters? yes. you didn't make the cyberfaces, so stfu before telling me i shouldn't download them if i don't like them...obviously i didn't know they weren't that great...otherwise, i wouldn't have downloaded them, you idiot. and for the record, i appreciate their work, but you've put me on the offensive now after you made those ignorant, retarded comments. all i was asking was if there's a nice jogar84 pack or something for the major players in the game...his cyberfaces are far better than these. BUT, these rosters are second to none...no big deal...but you made it seem like i was PO'd.
JP_Frost
obviously you are. Licking the sweat off the ball of the creators? sure, man. I ask them for their pictures and hang them on my wall at home. You came off sounding pretty disrespectful about the whole thing (rosters aside), saying that it's pretty bad and that most faces are actually worse than the EA default ones, which to me doesn't sound like you truly appreciate the work that's been put in. So just do a search for your favorite players and import them into the game, but perhaps next time you could make suggestions for which faces you think could be replaced in big shmooz' thread instead of just calling them pretty bad. EDIT: Spelling.
Zelda55
so you're saying it's a big deal that i think a multi-million dollar enterprise can make better cyberfaces than some forum members? yeah, i'm sure these guys are SOO embarrassed that they can't match up to EA SPORTS; they should be ashamed of themselves...how can they not produce for free what EA produces for $750,000+ per employee? /end sarcasm i'm clearly not being disrespectful to them and i realize that they are doing very well for non-EA employees, BUT that doesn't mean i can't identify where the quality isn't great. i played a game and some of the good EA cyberfaces (i know some EA ones sucked, too) have been replaced by questionable custom ones...this is all i was getting at. there's no need to so vehemently defend the creators when there was no attack taking place. JP_Frost
well, nevermind then, apparently I took it the wrong way ...
snepp
well, nevermind then, apparently I took it the wrong way ... For what it's worth, you took it the same why I did.
Zelda55
well, that's not how i meant it...anyways, can one of you tell me what files normally belong in the mvp baseball 2005/data folder (i don't need to know what folders are in this file, just the FILES because i accidently deleted them while trying to figure out how to import cyberfaces individually. i know that models.big is one of them. JP_Frost
did you delete the entire data folder? are just the files inside of it with all the subfolders still in tact?
Zelda55
i didn't delete the entire folder...what happened was i accidently extracted the .mbe dat files into the data folder instead of the data/database folder, so when i went to delete these unnecessary files in the data folder (i left all the folders alone), i accidently deleted the necessary ones too, like models.big...and now i don't see the shmooz models.big file in the downloads section anymore, either. JP_Frost
well there are a whole lot of files inside the data folder: career.dat, pitcher.dat, profiles.big, datafile, etc. If all of these are gone then perhaps you could extract the default folder from you mvp baseball cd (I believe it's cd 1). tebjr
Would it be possible that they're in the recycle bin? Could you just restore them?
